Discover to refund $200 million for deceptive telemarketing
Federal regulators say millions of Discover consumers were misled by telemarketers and pressured into buying expensive credit monitoring and other "add-on" products.
If you were enrolled in credit score tracking, I-D theft protection, wallet protection or other services without your consent, you may be eligible for a refund.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) just reached a settlement wherein Discover will refund $200 million to credit card customers and pay a $14 million fine.
