'Arrested Development' season 5? Netflix is in talks for more
Taste the happy, Michael. Netflix producers say they're in talks with the creators of "Arrested Development" to create a fifth season of the beloved show.
After being canceled in 2006, "Arrested Development" was relaunched as a "Netflix original" series. The online streaming service released every episode of the fourth season on May 26. The new season, which reunited the original cast, was met with mixed reviews.
"Arrested Development" was created by Mitchell Hurwitz with Ron Howard in 2002. It originally aired on Fox.
Bloomberg reports that a co-chairman from Imagine Entertainment, Netflix's production company, confirmed that they were "in conversation...to do another," and that the creators were "interested" in the prospect.
One in 10 Netflix viewers watched the fourth season in one sitting, but Netflix's stock price took a hit overall following the premiere.
