Melissa Etheridge kicks off Douglas County Fair headliner entertainment
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Douglas County Fairgrounds officials announced its headline entertainment for this year's Douglas County Fair on August 9-12.
Wednesday, August 9: Melissa Etheridge
Thursday, August 10: Old Dominion
Friday, August 11: Papa Roach
Saturday, August 12: National artist to be announced
The August 12 concert headliner will be announced at a later date, officials said. It will be a benefit concert for the Howell family of Riddle.
"It's still being shaped,” Douglas County Fairgrounds Director Harold Phillips said of the open Saturday slot. “There is an offer to a very well-known national artist, a Christian artist, that we're working with. AJ Jordan, a local promoter here with Youth for Christ, are the ones I'm working with."
Playing on the Garden Park Stage on August 12 are Los Canarios at 6 p.m. and Bill Lund & Whiskey River at 9 p.m.
Tickets go on sale at the fairgrounds business office at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 1. Online sales begin the same day at 10:01 a.m. at douglasfairgrounds.com, fair officials said in a news release.
All concerts are free with fair admission. Reserve seating is available for all concerts.
New this year, family day will be on Saturday with free admission for all kids.
