Douglas County Fair announces Theory of a Deadman as replacement act
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Douglas County Fair in Roseburg has announced Canadian rock band Theory of a Deadman as a replacement headliner for Papa Roach on August 11.
Papa Roach canceled dates in three states, including the Douglas County Fair, due to lead singer Jacoby Shaddix's need for immediate vocal cord surgery, the band's agency said.
Theory of a Deadman played to a sold-out Douglas County Fair crowd in 2012, fair officials said.
"We're very grateful to have them return and help us with replacing our canceled Papa Roach concert," fair director Harold Phillips said.
All current Papa Roach ticket holders will be advised of the new artist via mass email and phone call, fair officials said.
They say all Papa Roach tickets are valid for the Theory of a Deadman show, and no action is needed. But if current Papa Roach ticket holders wish to receive a refund, they will be instructed to contact the number provided in the email or phone call.
They say the phone agent will need one of the following to process the refund: email address, phone number, first and last name or order ID #.
Fair officials say all refund transactions must be completed before noon on Wednesday, August 9.
