4 to hospital after car overturns

COOS BAY, Ore. - Four people went to the hospital after the car they were in went off the road, hit a tree and overturned, the Coos County Sheriff's Office said.

The crash happened just after noon Monday. Catrina Holt, 22, of Charleston lost control of her 1990 Mazda RX-6 westbound on Libby Lane, according to the sheriff's office. The car left the road, hit a tree and came to rest on its top.

Holt and her three passengers - a 14-year-old girl and two boys, ages 10 and 1 - were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The teen girl was admitted to the ICU, the sheriff's office said. The older boy was admitted for observation. Holt and the younger boy were treated and released.

The response to the crash closed the road for about 45 minutes.
