COOS BAY, Ore. -- While most kids will scarf down their Halloween candy as soon as they get it, one Coos Bay boy is giving it all away for a good cause.
When 7-year-old Nathan Mullanix heard about Natalie Hill's battle with bone cancer, he wanted to help her check items off her bucket list.
So last year he jumped into Apple Dental's "candy buy-back".
The candy is sent to troops, and whoever brings in the most candy wins a cash prize.
Last Halloween, Nathan won $50 for Natalie. This year he's hoping for $200.
"I'll give the $200 to Nataliebecause I want to help her," Nathan said.
Nathan hopes people give him extra candy if they see him out tonight, and he hopes that kids add to his total for Apple Dental's "candy buy-back".
