Additional patrols net citations, warnings over 4th of July weekend in Coos County

COQUILLE, Ore. -- The addition of patrols over the Fourth of July weekend by the Coos County Sheriff's office resulted in citations and warnings.

Deputies enforced DUII and other traffic laws during the weekend running from June 30 through July 4.

According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies wrote seven citations for driving while suspended, two for speeding, four for seatbelt violations, and nine other traffic citations.

They report eighteen warnings were issued to drivers.
