AMBER ALERT: Child missing from Kennewick
KENNEWICK POLICE NEWS RELEASE -- The Kennewick Police are currently investigating a missing 14 year of age juvenile female. She was last seen yesterday at about 11:15 a.m. as she left school for lunch and got into her boyfriend's Ford Escape SUV (forest green). The boyfriend is 19 years of age.
She did not return to school Wednesday and her mother reported her as a runaway Thursday night at about 4:00 pm.
Thursday, the mother of Elizabeth Ramero received text messages from an unknown phone number from a person identifying herself as Elizabeth, basically stating that she was headed to Mexico with her boyfriend. The mother asked the unknown text caller to send a current photo of herself. That request was ignored.
At this point an Amber Alert is being initiated for the missing and endangered female juvenile.
The suspect (boyfriend) is identified as 19 year of age Edwardo Fabien Flores Rosales. He is 5'09" and weighs about 225 lbs, brown hair, brown eyes. He is driving a mid 2000's Ford Escape SUV, forest green in color with a temporary license tag in the window.
The victim is 14 year of age Elizabeth Ramero of Kennewick. She is 5'03", 130 lbs, brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen at 1800 W. 7th Avenue in Kennewick. She was wearing a white shirt, dark pants and had a backpack and pink purse.
There is probable cause to arrest Rosales for Kidnapping. A warrant is forthcoming. The U.S. Border Patrol has been alerted at the Mexican Border.
