ARK program in Bandon expanding its nutrition program
BANDON, Ore. -- The At Risk Kids organization (ARK) is expanding its nutrition program down the coast.
ARK, focusing on supporting homeless youth and their families, is holding its cooking courses at Bandon High School.
It's an effort to help them make healthy meals on a budget.
"We're really trying to do more outreach because the ARK is located in Bandon, but we serve all in Coos County, so this is something we could do to see if this will really work," explained ARK’s Melinda Torres.
The goal is to implement the cooking course by the next school year.
