Board: Due to quality issue, Glasgow residents shouldn't drink water
NORTH BEND, Ore. -- Officials with the Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board say people in the Glasgow community shouldn't drink the tap water until they can figure out why it smells like fuel.
The water board says several complaints have been made about a fuel-like odor coming from the municipal water supply.
Officials are collecting samples and sending them to a lab to check the water quality.
Authorities say that the Glasgow system will then be flushed and more samples will be taken.
In the meantime, officials with the water board say people in the Glasgow community shouldn't use the water for cooking or drinking until they get the water quality issue resolved.
