Boys & Girls Club garage sales help fund after-school programs
COOS BAY, Ore. -- The Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon invited the public to spend some time with them over the weekend.
It was the second of two garage sales, and they said there was a little bit of everything on sale.
"Thanks to some generous donations from our community, we have some clothing, some home decor, we have holiday decorations and some big lights, children's toys…hopefully a little bit of something for everybody," said program director Angie Reiber.
Organizers said all the money earned will go towards the Boys & Girls Club’s after-school programs.
"My husband and I, we work full days so it helps me a lot because of the sitter and everything, so I always try to be here every year because this place gives a lot to me and my family," said Romeleia Besabe, whose son attends the Boys & Girls Club.
The sale took place at the William J. Sweet Memorial Tennis Center in Coos Bay.
