Charleston Crab Feed returns this weekend for 34th year
NORTH BEND, Ore. -- The Charleston Crab Feed fundraiser is back this weekend for its 34th year.
The event will once again be held at the North Bend Community Center.
Volunteers will serve up fresh Dungeness crab dinners with side dishes.
Festival organizers say despite delays in the crabbing season, they remained optimistic about this year's feed.
"We were kind of on pins and needles and were concerned about the delays and testing, but overall we felt like the timing would work out so we are happy it did work out and we're happy to have great delicious crab for the public," said organizer Margery Whitmer.
The feed is Saturday morning from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All proceeds help support the Charleston Visitor Center.
