Coastal Celtic Society celebrates Irish tradition at annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration
While St. Patrick's Day was on Friday, the celebrations continued through the weekend.
The Coastal Celtic Society held its annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration on Saturday.
There was live music, presentations and some traditional Irish dishes.
While a lot of folks wore green and drank green beer to celebrate, Frank Murphy from Coastal Celtic Society said there’s a lot more to being Irish.
"If you want to be Irish for the day, do something good. Help somebody, carry something for, you know, groceries for somebody, say hello, go and check on your neighbor. If you can, that's a better way of being Irish than falling in the gutter because that's not who we are."
The group plans to host another St. Patrick's Day Celebration next year.
