COOS BAY, Ore. – Officials with Bay Area Hospital are warning of another scam circulating through the area.

They say someone has been calling community members claiming to be represent the facility.

The caller tells patients he has a way to consolidate their bills and improve debt control.

If you get a call like this the hospital suggests you hang up and report the incident to authorities.

They say to not share your credit card or personal information with the perpetrators.

This comes on heels of a reported scam involving a forged court document identifying a person as a confidential informant for police in Coos County, which surfaced on social media, the district attorney said Thursday.
