Coos Bay man accused of killing uncle committed for psychological evaluation
COQUILLE, Ore. -- A man accused of murdering his uncle in Coos Bay has been committed to the Oregon State Hospital.
Lucas Perkins was later arrested in the Seattle area.
He was arraigned a month ago and scheduled to be back in court Monday, Nov. 7.
According to the Oregon Justice Department, a motion was filed for Perkins to be committed to the Superintendent of the Oregon State Hospital.
In the report, Perkins was said to be unfit to proceed and needs psychological evaluation.
He was taken to the Oregon State Hospital on October 18.
