Coos Golf Club undergoes makeover, grand reopening under new ownership
COOS BAY, Ore. - The course formerly known as Coos Country Club and Watson Ranch has gotten a bit of a makeover.
The 95-year-old course recently had its grand reopening as the Coos Golf Club.
Seattle-based owner Andre Liloc bought the course last summer and made a few changes, which includes putting the 18th hole right next to the clubhouse and pro shop. The facility also features a driving range, chipping area and two practice putting greens.
"We wanted to be able to include not just the really good golfers, but even the beginners and the youth," said Liloc. "So we've teamed up with Bandon Dunes Resort and a couple of other golf courses to be involved with the PGA Junior Leauge so that we can really get the youth out onto the golf course."
Coos Golf Club will be open year round, and for more information you can check out the Coos Golf Club Facebook page.
