Coquille's Sawdust Theatre set to kick off 50th season
COQUILLE, Ore. -- Summer is just around the corner and a Coos County theater will soon open its doors.
The Sawdust Theatre in Coquille is preparing to open for its 50th anniversary season later this month.
The production this year is "The Perilous Passing of Prudence Proudwell or, A gold Mine in the Hand is Worth Two in the Bush."
Organizers promise a good time.
"You can expect a whole lot of fun,” says volunteer Chloe Stevenson. “Sawdust Theatre is all about fun, audience participation, hoot and hollar and boo and hiss for the hero and heroine and the can-can girls. Just a lot of fun for the whole family."
The theater officially opens its summer season on Saturday, May 27, at 7.p.m.
The show will run through the summer until September.
