Deputies respond to three crashes in 15 minutes

FLORENCE, Ore. -- Deputies in Florence responded to two ATV crashes and a car crash Friday afternoon that all happened within the course of 15 minutes, the Lane County Sheriff's Office said.

The emergency calls started at around 2:10 pm Friday when the sheriff's office received word that a woman crashed an ATV at the Goose Pasture OHV staging area near Florence. The woman, later identified as 24-year-old Kaytlin Maixner, was flown to the hospital by helicopter ambulance.

Almost 11 minutes later (at 2:21 pm), sheriff's dispatchers got word of another ATV accident at Goose Pasture. Deputies and medics went out to the area and evaluated Aleksander Maksimov, 22, for injuries at the scene.

At 2:25 pm Friday, officials said they got a call about a single-vehicle crash at Heceta Beach Road at Highway 101. Deputies arrested 41-year-old Jodi Williams for DUII after a brief investigation of the crash.
