Diamond Lake forced to cut back due to lack of snow, lays off over half of winter staff
DIAMOND LAKE, Ore. -- A resort in southern Oregon is being forced to cut back because of a lack of snow.
The News-Review reports that Diamond Lake resort has had to shut down some operations and lay off more than half its winter staff.
The area is used to seeing visitors coming to enjoy the snow.
The resort told the newspaper they tried to keep its snow-tubing hill open, but gave up once costs became too much.
