Fugitive last seen near Depoe Bay

      NEWPORT, Ore. - A wanted man who fled a traffic stop near Depoe Bay more than a week ago remains at large, and police and his family want the public's help locating him.

      Kyle L. Wallace, 20, was last seen Sept. 24 at 5 p.m. near Highway 101 and Otter Crest Loop Road. Wallace was with a woman who was arrested by state police.

      Wallace drove away from the scene. Police found the car abandoned one mile later. A search of the area failed to find him.

      Wallace's family has not heard from him since then. They are concerned for his welfare.

      Wallace, who is a registered sex offender, is also wanted on numerous warrants including Parole Violation, Felony Attempt to Elude in a Vehicle and Escape.

      Wallace is a white man, 6-feet tall, 170 lbs with brown hair, blue eyes and a piereced left ear.

      He is known to frequent the Siletz area.
