Glasgow water being tested, bottled water donations sought

NORTH BEND, Ore. -- Officials are hoping to have drinking water restored to the Glasgow neighborhood by the weekend.

On Wednesday, the Coos Bay-North Ben Water Board says they were flushing the water lines, after several people complained about a fuel smell in the water.

Officials are asking residents not to use the water for drinking or cooking until the flushing and more testing is done.

Barbara Weed is a Glasgow reisdent, and is asking the community to help with bottled water donations for people who might not be able to afford it.

She says you can drop off or pick up the bottled water in front of the Glasgow Market.
