Hawk rescued after it gets hit by semi, tangled in mirror

WEST LINN, Ore. - The hawk is OK, but tomorrow it's probably going to feel like it got hit by a truck.

Thanks to some quick work by the Audubon Society on Wednesday morning, an injured hawk was rescued after it was hit by a semi near the Willamette Falls Viewpoint on I-205.

After police came to the scene and untangled the hawk from the truck's passenger-side mirror, they decided its left wing was likely injured.

They called in the Audubon Society, which took it away to tend to the injury.
