Officials with Legacy Health confirmed they have waived the hospital fees for Micah Fletcher, who was stabbed aboard a MAX train last month.

Fletcher, who spent several days in the hospital immediately following the attack, is expected to recover from his wounds. Two other men, Ricky Best and Taliesin Namkai-Meche, who were stabbed aboard the train died from their injuries.

"I don't think we could ever afford to take care of the kind of medical fees required for the kind of surgery I went through and for the hospital stay," Fletcher told the Oregonian earlier this week.
