COOS COUNTY, Ore. - The Coos County Sheriff's Office is celebrating the return of a valuable officer on their team.

K-9 Odin has been off work while battling an unknown bacterial infection, putting him out of work for over a month while he was treated at Oregon State University.

After he was discharged from OSU in September, Odin continued his treatments at home until returning to duty at the Sheriff's Office last Thursday.

Odin's handler, Sergeant Adam Slater, says at the end of his antibiotics at six weeks, Odin needs to have another CT Scan to ensure the infection is gone.

Odin has served Coos County for more than two years, and we're told he's found 55 criminals.
