New Liberty Theatre seating arrives, will be installed by Friday

NORTH BEND, Ore. -- The long wait is over at the Liberty Theatre in North Bend.

After months of anticipation, the theater finally received its new and improved seats for future shows.

Crews began installing the seats Monday and theater officials say the new chairs will be a welcome addition.

"They can expect cup holders, ample room to sit down, plush, cushy, comfortable seats, not the 90-year-old (seats),” said Aymee Pedder with the Little Theatre on the Bay Restoration Committee. (They old ones were) wrapped leather…beautiful as they were, they’re not quite as comfortable as these new ones."

The new seats are expected to be fully installed in by Friday.
