Man arrested after being caught in stolen car

COOS BAY, Ore. -- Coos Bay police arrested a man early Monday morning, after an officer spotted a stolen car.

Authorities say an officer pulled in behind a car that had been stolen at about 6:30 a.m. and made a traffic stop on Howard off of Harriet.

Police say they arrested Joseph Russell without incident at the scene.

Police say the man was taken to the Coos County Jail and lodged on a probation violation.

Officials say that the investigation is ongoing, and more charges against Russell are pending.
