Man pleads not guilty to being 'sexually intimate' with teen

COQUILLE, Ore. -- A 21-year-old North Bend man who police say was 'sexually intimate' with a 14-year-old girl was in court Monday.

James Bergstrom pleaded not guilty to several charges, including third degree rape and the online sexual corruption of a child.

Bergstrom is also facing charges in another case invovling identity theft.

Judge Richard Barron denied Bergstrom release, and set bail at $50,000.

On August 11, deputies were called to a reported rape in progress near 93670 Viking Lane, in the Hauser area of North Bend.

Deputies say they found Bergstrom along with a 14-year-old female in the brush when the witnesses were looking for the girl.
