Sheriff ID victim in Harbor self-storage shooting
HARBOR, Ore. —
Late Thursday night, Curry County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a shooting near Strahm's Storage in Harbor, according to Curry County Sheriff John Ward.
The victim, 40-year-old William (Bill) Terebesi of Brookings had been shot twice at his storage unit by an unknown suspect.
Terebesi was taken to Sutter Coast Hospital in Crescent City, Calif. and later was transported to a trauma center at an undisclosed location.
Deputies and Oregon State Troopers searched for the suspect at the storage unit they found evidence that supported Terebesi's story.
CCSO executed a search warrant this morning. Preliminary investigation has not revealed any information as to why the victim was shot.
The shooting occurred on Oceanview Drive in Harbor.
