Medically endangered man found safe
GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- A man who was reported missing early Saturday morning was found safe later that night, Oregon State Police said.
Police issued a statement saying they were looking for 63-year-old Michael Cook after his family reported that he went missing early Saturday morning. State officials said Cook suffers from a life-threatening condition and requires daily medication that he might not have had with him.
Cook was last seen leaving his home in Grants Pass at around 3:30 a.m. Saturday in his Ford Ranger pickup truck.
Police said he was believed to be headed toward the city of Grants Pass. After contacting Cook's friends and acquaintances, family members called police saying they couldn't locate him.
At around 7:30 p.m. police said that Cook's family called back and reported he was found safe.
