NORTH BEND, Ore. -- Job seekers in the bay area now have a new place to go for help in landing a job.

Goodwill Job Connections is a free resource to the public from Goodwill Industries.

It opened last week next to the Goodwill retail store on Broadway in North Bend.

Coordinators say they plan to give one-on-one job placement assistance, offer help with resumes, and provide interview skill coaching.

They can also connect people to local employers based on what they're looking for and what experience and skills they have.

"We can help a lot of people overcome barriers, from criminal background, if they may be receiving food stamps, receiving temporary assistance…we help everyone in our community overcome all kinds of barriers,” said North Bend Job Connections coordinator Sal Lal.

The Goodwill Job Connections in North Bend is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
