North Bend senior Trey Woods signs to play football at Division I school
NORTH BEND, Ore. -- One of the state football champion North Bend Bulldogs has signed with an NCAA Division I school.
North Bend senior Trey Woods signed a national letter of intent to play for the Wyoming Cowboys.
It's the first time for a Bulldog player since the 1990s.
"It's a great day for North Bend High School to celebrate with a kid who's put in a lot of hard work and just overcome a lot of obstacles.” North bend High School Athletic Director Mike Forester said, “and he's been a great kid at North Bend High School so we're thrilled to death for Trey."
"It feels amazing, honestly,” said Woods. “This is something I've always worked for. Ever since I was a little kid I dreamed of playing college football and that I actually completed my goal means a lot to me and my family."
Woods will head to Wyoming in June, 10 days after North Bend’s graduation.
