ODOT: Semi-truck crash on I-5 backs up traffic more than four miles
ASHLAND, Ore. – One lane of Interstate 5 northbound is now open after a semi-truck rollover blocked traffic Sunday morning, ODOT said.
ODOT said the crash occurred roughly 10 miles north of the California border, five miles south of Ashland.
Sunday night, salvage crews were off loading cleaning products from the semi-truck, including packages of Dawn soap and Swiffer items.
Drivers should expect major delays through Sunday evening.
ODOT said as of 12:50 p.m., traffic was backed up more than four miles due to the crash.
ODOT asks motorists to drive with caution and watch for workers and equipment in the roadway as cleanup efforts continue.
