Police: If you see this man, call 911

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- State police and the Douglas County Sheriff's office are looking for an armed and dangerous fugitive that they say eluded them west of Roseburg Wednesday.

Officials say at about 4:00 pm, state police detectives spotted Hiram Samuel Cunningham, 30, of Sutherlin, driving a Chevrolet Impala northbound on I-5 in Roseburg, and knew he was wanted.

Troopers tried to stop him when he took the Garden Valley exit.

Authorities say Cunningham pulled into the Garden Valley Shopping Center and then sped off.

After a high speed chase along Old Garden Valley Road, authorities say Cunningham abandoned his vehicle near Capitol Lane west of Roseburg.

Detectives say they found two people on foot in the area and found out they were passengers in the car.

They were identified as Chantel Dawn Woody, 26, and Brogan John Delia, 22, both of Fossil. Authorities learned both of them had warrants for their arrest out of Wheeler County.

State troopers, Sheriff's deputies and Roseburg police used K-9 teams to try and find Cunningham, but were unable to locate him. The search was called off at about 8:00 pm.

Authorities say Cunningham is known to carry firearms, and is wanted on numerous warrants out of Douglas, Lane and Jackson counties.

Officials say he is known to wear disguises, including a wig and reading style glasses, to avoid being recognized. They also say he is potentially violent and has eluded police before.

He is described as a white male, 6'2" tall, 170 pounds with short brown hair and hazel eyes.

Authorities say if you spot the man, do not approach him and call 911.
