Police: Tri-City man with 3 warrants arrested with woman in Myrtle Creek
MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. -- Police in Myrtle Creek arrested a man wanted on three warrants, including a felony weapons charge.
On Tuesday, Dec. 12, a patrolling Myrtle Creek police officer spotted a suspect vehicle parked behind a Myrtle Creek restaurant and initiated a traffic stop around 5:20 p.m. when the driver started to pull out.
Police say the driver was slow to yield, but eventually stopped at N. Pacific and Wecks Road.
According to the report, upon pulling the vehicle over, police spoke with 51-year-old Suzette M. Batson of Roseburg, who claimed to be Susan Dawson.
41-year-old Michael W. Batson of Tri-City was found hiding under clothes and luggage in the back of the 1997 Chevrolet, police said.
Michael Batson was arrested and lodged on three warrants and weapons charge for brass knuckles.
Suzette Batson cited and released, charged with giving false information to police and hindering prosecution.
Police said she complained about medical issues was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg.
