Search resumes for naked woman wearing only a fanny pack
SKAMANIA COUNTY, Wash. -- The search for a 19-year-old Vancouver woman -- who went missing after embarking on a "spiritual quest" wearing nothing but a fanny pack -- resumed on Saturday morning.
About 50 searchers assembled at 8 a.m. at the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument headquarters in Amboy, Wash. From there, they will sweep the area surrounding the Canyon Creek Campground (east of Amboy.)
Maureen Kelly was last seen at 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon when she left the Canyon Creek Campground naked and with little supplies and equipment.
She was reported missing just after midnight Monday when she failed to return.
The Canyon Creek area is steep and mountainous with heavy timber and brush. Searchers don't know whether she was on a road or trail or if she is moving cross country.
