Sheriff: Man arrested after abusing 6-year-old boy
BANDON, Ore. -- A Bandon man is in jail after the Sheriff's office says he intentionally hurt a 6-year-old boy.
The Department of Human Services and the Coos County Sheriff's office started an investigation after a report of child abuse was made.
Deputies say the 6-year-old was injured, but did not require medical attention.
The Sheriff' office says Lane Alexander Myers, 19, of Bandon, had been temporarily caring for the boy.
Myers was arrested an charged by the Sheriff's office with fourth degree assault and first degree criminal mistreatment.
Deputies say the investigation is ongoing.
