Sheriff: No injuries after car crashes into oyster plant
NORTH BEND, Ore. -- A 19-year-old North Bend resident was uninjured, but cited, after he drove his car into an oyster processing plant Thursday evening.
Just after 8:30 pm, Coos County Sheriff's deputies were called to a report of a single vehicle crash on North Bay Road at the Clausen Oyster Facility.
Deputies say Tyler J. Waldow, 19, of North Bend, was driving a 1998 Monte Carlo eastbound on North Bay Road when he lost control of his vehicle.
Authorities say the car crossed over into the westbound lane, eventually leaving the road and crashing into the Clausen Oysters facility.
Officials say Waldow was alone in the car, and was not injured.
Deputies cited Waldow for fail to maintain lane of travel.
