Sheriff: Vehicle stolen from Lakeside found in Winchester Bay

WINCHESTER BAY, Ore. -- A 37-year-old Keizer man is behind bars after Sheriff's deputies say he stole a vehicle from a Lakeside woman.

Just after 7:30 pm on Thursday, Coos County Sheriff's deputies took a report of a stolen vehicle from a 29-year-old Lakeside resident, who reported that someone had taken her 1983 GMC Pickup.

Just before midnight on Friday, Douglas County Sheriff's deputies found the stolen pickup at 6th and Broadway in Winchester Bay.

Following an investigation, the Sheriff's office says Jayson John Bridges, 37, of Keizer, was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, second degree theft and possession of meth.

He was taken to the Coos County Jail where he was lodged.

His initial bail was set at $95,000.
