Sheriff: Woman wanted on manslaughter charge
ALBANY, Ore. - A driver involved in a fatal car crash last fall who vanished after being released from the hospital is wanted on charges of manslaughter and assault, the Linn County Sheriff's Office said.
Janet Lee Reppy, 39, of Lebanon is wanted in connection with the October 20, 2012, crash.
James Virgil, 21, of Lebanon died 9 days later as a result of his injuries, the sheriff said.
Two others injured in the crash survived the crash.
Reppy was also injured and taken to the hospital. Investigators say she was drunk at the time of the crash.
She hasn't been seen since she left the hospital, the sheriff said. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.
