COOS BAY, Ore. -- The Summer Farmers Market will be up and running in Coos Bay Wednesday.

This year, while you're at the market in downtown Coos Bay, there will be live music.

The live music series started last year in partnership with So It Goes Coffeehouse.

Different acts will be scheduled to perform each week during the Farmers Market at noon.

Organizers say it's something people look forward to every week.

"People come and they sit down, they interact, they know that they can do that every Wednesday down here and the music kinda helps with that a little bit,” says So It Goes Coffeehouse co-owner John Beane. “It's become something that’s sort of a staple for the market. They know that the music is something they can count on; it'll always be there."

The Willamette Valley-based band Orchards will perform Wednesday from 12-2 p.m. at the coffee house.

The Farmers Market is located on Central Avenue on Wednesdays through October.
