Sacramento shootout ends with 2 officers wounded, suspect dead
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (FOX26) —
The Sacramento Police Department confirmed two police officers were wounded by gunfire Thursday morning.
They say the suspected shooter was also shot and died from his wounds.
The shooting happened on 27th Avenue near Franklin Boulevard around 11 a.m.
Investigators say police officers were attempting to pull over a man suspected in a double homicide when the shootout began.
The officers were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.
