Bay area to get spruced up, volunteers needed

NORTH BEND, Ore. -- The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce needs volunteers for a large beach clean-up project.

Beginning Saturday at 9:00 am, volunteers are needed until noon to clean the beach and parts of Highway 101 in North Bend.

Volunteers will remove trash and weeds.

The clean-up is a part of the kickoff to National Tourism Week, and the Chamber of Commerce hopes to clean up the bay area for summer visitors.

Volunteers are asked to fill out a SOLV liability waiver online.

There will be coffee and donuts for volunteers.
