EUGENE, Ore. - Aaron Wise, the former Oregon golfer and 2016 NCAA individual champion, secured a PGA Tour card on Sunday with a 16th place finish at the WinCo Foods Portland Open.

"It's always kind of been a dream, ever since I started playing golf as a little kid," Wise told GoDucks.com. "It's just been really cool, and you never think it will come to fruition, so for it to actually happen and for me to go to the PGA Tour - it's something I'm very grateful for."

Wise finished 18th on the Web.com Tour regular season money list and was one of the 25 players to gain PGA Tour status for next season.

Shortly after helping the Ducks win the 2016 NCAA team title, Wise turned professional and spent his first season on the Mackenzie Tour. After a fourth-place finish there, he was granted Web.com Tour status for 2017.

Wise is the seventh Oregon alum to earn PGA Tour status, and is the first under current head coach Casey Martin.
