Admission to Oregon Spring Game at Autzen: 3 cans of food

The Oregon Spring Game kicks off at Autzen Stadium at 11 a.m. Saturday, offering fans their best view yet of the Ducks under new head football coach Willie Taggart. EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon Spring Game kicks off at Autzen Stadium at 11 a.m. Saturday, offering fans their best view yet of the Ducks under new head football coach Willie Taggart.

Admission is a donation of 3 cans of food for FOOD for Lane County. The 2016 Spring Game brought in over 59,079 pounds of food and nearly $1,000 in cash donations to the local food bank.

Spectators can begin entering Autzen at 10 a.m.

Tribute to Armed Forces

Many of the festivities before, during and after the game will honor the men and women of the amred services.

"Festivities outside will include a pre-game flyover by a pair of Oregon Air National Guard F-15 jets and Coast Guard helicopters," the athletic department said. "Following the conclusion of the Spring Game, all Oregon players will give their jerseys to approximately 100 uniformed men and women representing all branches of the military during a post-game ceremony in the middle of the field."

Oregon is offering free tickets to Saturday afternoon’s Oregon baseball game against Arizona State and Oregon's softball game against Oregon State to service personnel who present their military ID.

Baseball tickets will be available at the Autzen Stadium North Ticket Building starting at 10 a.m.

Softball tickets available at the Jane Sanders Stadium ticket office beginning at 11:30 a.m. Supplies of free tickets are limited.

Past and present military personnel can get a 20 percent discount on some items at the Duck Store at Autzen Stadium when presenting military ID. The Duck Store at the stadium opens 8 a.m. Saturday.

Alumni Halftime Flag Football

New this year: A flag football game at halftime between former Oregon football standouts. George Bennett, Bobby Green Sr., Joe McEnroe and Dave Morgan played football at Oregon in the 1970s when games were still played at Hayward Field.

Also expected to appear: Five players who were a part of Oregon's first-of-two national championship appearances: Mark Asper, Sam Doman, Talmadge Jackson III, Jeff Maehl and Kenny Rowe.

  • 8 a.m. – Duck Store opens
  • 8:30 a.m. – East Autzen Stadium parking lot opens
  • 9 a.m. – Sports Shuttles begin from Valley River Center and South Eugene High School (19th and Patterson)
  • 9 a.m. – Moshofsky Center and Mo Plaza open
  • 10 a.m. – Autzen Stadium gates open to the public
  • 10 a.m. – North Ticket Office opens for all ticket sales
  • 11 a.m. – Spring Game kickoff
  • Noon – Jane Sanders Stadium gates open to the public
  • 12:30 p.m. – PK Park gates open to the public
  • 1 p.m. – Oregon softball vs. Oregon State
  • 1:30 p.m. – Final shuttle buses return to Sports Shuttle Park-and-Ride locations
  • 2 p.m. – Oregon baseball vs. Arizona State


Transportation

Free Sports Shuttles to and from Autzen Stadium will depart from South Eugene High School (19th and Patterson) and the northwest parking lot of Valley River Center beginning at 9 a.m. and continue until the start of the scrimmage.

The shuttles resume after the game and continue for 30 minutes.

Parking

Arrive early and car pool. The Autzen Stadium east parking lot will open at 8:30 a.m.; parking is $5 per vehicle. Many of the privately-managed properties near Autzen are expected to be open for game-day parking opportunities.

Traffic Flow

"Standard traffic control patterns and enforcement in effect during regular-season Oregon football home games will be utilized for traffic both entering and exiting the Autzen Stadium vicinity for the scrimmage," the University said. "Motorists traveling northbound over the Ferry Street Bridge will not be allowed to turn eastbound onto Martin Luther King Blvd. from approximately 12:30 p.m. to about 3 p.m."
