PORTLAND, Ore. – Burger lovers rejoice - Tuesday is National Cheeseburger Day.
To celebrate the day devoted to the cheeseburger, Burgerville locations across the Pacific Northwest offered up their original cheeseburger for $1 a piece.
After an overwhelming response to the deal in the past, the burger joint is putting a limit of five burgers per transaction, and a two transaction limit per vehicle.
For those looking to capitalize on the cheeseburger deals - Wendy's is also offering free burgers on National Cheeseburger Day.
There is no clear-cut source for the recipe that rose to prominence in the 1920s, however, many have laid claim to coming up with the idea of putting a patty and cheese between two buns.
