3-year-old flown to Portland following two-car crash in west Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. — A two-vehicle crash was reported at 2:45 a.m. on Sunday morning near Greenhill and West 11th Avenue, with one vehicle hitting a light pole.

The vehicle that hit the light pole had four occupants, including two children. One of the children, age 3, was treated by medics at the scene and then flown to a Portland hospital due to the extent of his injuries.

The male adult passenger was taken to a local hospital with injuries.

The female driver had minor injuries and the other child had no apparent injuries.

The driver of the other involved vehicle left the scene. MCI responded to the scene to investigate.

This incident remains under investigation.
