400 dogs in town through Sunday for Bandon Dog Show
BANDON, Ore. -- For about 400 dogs, Bandon by the Sea may be their best chance at canine stardom.
The Bandon Dog Show kicked off Thursday at the high school.
People from all over are in Bandon this week to show off their furry friends.
The dogs that win 'Best in Show' at the end of each day can qualify for the big national shows.
The organizer, a competitor herself, says it's a great opportunity.
"It's a great sport and it's fun, lots of camaraderie, make lots of good friends and it's just a good time to show off your dogs and what you've produced," said organizer Lisa Johnson.
The show runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sunday.
