The bodies found in Forest Park earlier this week have been identified as missing Aloha teen Annieka Vaughan and 23-year-old Zachary Petersen, a sex abuse suspect.

A Mountain Wave Search & Rescue K-9 found the bodies about 80 feet off the trail near where the Wildwood Trail meets the Upper MacLeay Trail Wednesday morning.

Vaughan, 15, ran away from her home in Aloha on Oct. 30. Police said she was suspected to have been with 23-year-old Petersen, who is accused of sexually abusing her in Benton County, Wash on Sept. 28.

Petersen’s pickup was found parked along NW Cornell Road on Monday, near where the bodies were found along the Wildwood Trail just two days later.

Portland Police say Petersen shot and killed Vaughan, and then shot and killed himself.

A GoFundMe account has been set up for Vaughan's family to cover her funeral costs.
