City of Powers looks to hire temporary general contractor
POWERS, Ore. -- The City of Powers is looking for a temporary general laborer.
The general laborer performs various duties to assist the Public Works Department, which may include basic maintenance and miscellaneous duties in a water/sewer utility setting in addition to lawn care and mowing tasks. This position is temporary.
The position requires a basic knowledge of maintenance and use of basic hand tools and equipment with an emphasis on performing duties safely. No experience or education is necessary.
A valid Oregon driver’s license is required. An offer of employment is contingent upon passing a background and driving history check, and pre-employment physical including drug/alcohol screening.
The position is a part-time position with limited benefits.
The position is expected to work as-needed up to a maximum of 32 hours per week for the summer season, with shifts staggered as needed by the acting Public Works Director.
The position is at minimum wage.
