COOS BAY, Ore. -- Just before 4 a.m. Sunday, Coos Bay Fire Department received a report from the North Coos 911 center of a fully involved structure fire at 92550 Cascade Lane in the Libby District.

Firefighters found a double-wide manufactured home destroyed with only a few of the wall framing members still standing, the report said.

The structure’s remains were extinguished by fire service personnel.

Officials say an investigation could not take place due to the severity of the fire and it's being classified as undetermined, although it is considered highly suspicious.

The home was vacant as it was being remodeled after it was involved in a previous fire in November 2017, according to the fire department.

The fire in November was investigated by Coos Bay Fire Department, Southwestern Fire Investigation Team, and the Office of State Fire Marshal and had been determined it was an intentionally set fire, which was subsequently turned over to the Coos County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation as a criminal matter.

If you have any information regarding this fire or the November fire, contact the Coos County Sheriff’s Office at (541) 396-7800.
